DeVoe took over as Mines' Head Wrestling Coach in July 2014, and since then has rebuilt the Oredigger program into a national contender with multiple RMAC titles and All-Americans during his tenure.
Since taking over the program, DeVoe has constructed a complete turnaround that culminated in Mines' first-ever RMAC championship in 2018-19 as the Orediggers went 11-3 overall (a modern-era record for wins) and 6-1 in the conference. DeVoe was named the RMAC and NWCA Regional Coach of the Year as the Orediggers qualified four wrestlers - the most in a decade - to NCAA Championships. Noah Ottum became the DeVoe's first Academic All-American while Weston Hunt won the NCAA regional title at heavyweight. DeVoe was also named the recipient of the prestigious Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award from the NWCA after the season.
